enslaved to logic and science. Their development piques the interest of
the audience, who view them as characters with an intellectual
curiosity and a life of the mind unusual for television.
THE X-FILES has done much to expand our
horizons and question the
assumptions of its audience. Its dense nature leaves ample room for
interpretation. The series has inspired college courses, theses and
books, all of them exploring the themes and subtexts to be found in the
show.

returning
to theaters in
2008...
